There are 13 qualified teachers that work at the LIDER School, some of whom are professional artists, dancers, composers or directors. All teachers have Australian or former Russian teachers’ diplomas or degrees and have experience working with children in a variety of children’s institutions, which is very important. All teachers, of course, love children and are passionate about the subject they teach. The combination of these two qualities, which help bring out the talents in children and cultivate a love of certain subjects, have attracted more and more children to these lessons.
I want to note our teachers whose names are very popular in the Russian-speaking community in Melbourne:
- The teachers and innovators – Michael Gerdel, Lena Degtiar, Oxana Zilberg and Jana Rapoport, Irina Sharipova, Polina Klimautzky and Tatiana Zemlinskiy;
- The surprisingly interesting director of school performances – Elena Mihailova, who teaches drama in middle classes;The talented artist Marina Sharapanovskaya, art teacher and organiser of “Samotsvety” and “Molbert” studios;
- The talented ballerina – Alla Sabirova, choreographer of dance studio and drama teacher in lower primary classes;
- The skilled teachers and enthusiasts – Boris Krol and Michael Kritchevsky – who teach chess at different levels.
