The LIDER School was organised in 2007 by a group of enthusiastic teachers. In its very first year, the school was registered and received an official accreditation from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and Victorian Community Languages ​​Schools. These registrations allow school teachers to improve their skills by attending conferences and courses organised by the Department of Education in Victoria for ethnic school teachers.

Our school is 8 years old. Over the years it has grown and strengthened its popularity among Melbourne’s Russian-speaking community. More than 150 students aged 4 to 15 years have enrolled into our school throughout the 2014 academic year. For the first time in school history we have received accreditation from the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority to prepare our students for exams at Lider school for Russian at VCE level.
